Iyengar Yoga · Devonport
I teach a small number of classes each week from my home near the beach. If you’ve been thinking about trying yoga — or coming back to it — I’d love to hear from you.
Get in touch for more infoClasses are defined by the general needs of the students and by arrangement. If you have a group of friends that would like to practice yoga together, I’d love to guide you.
This is where I’d suggest starting. It’s a structured course that introduces you to Iyengar Yoga properly — no experience needed, just curiosity.
For students who have some yoga under their belt. We work on alignment, steadiness and understanding what you’re actually doing.
We work around what you need — your body and your goals. I’m also passionate and experienced in teaching yoga for pregnancy.
I came to yoga later in life. After 28 years living in Sweden, the US and Germany, I came back to New Zealand and started practicing and studying Iyengar Yoga.
What I love about it is the intelligence behind the method. There’s a logic to it — it’s not just stretching. It can calm you down, give you strength, help you handle stress, and genuinely support your everyday life in ways that are hard to explain until you experience them.
I’ve been to Pune, India six times since 2014 to study at the RIMYI institute. I am an Iyengar Yoga certified level 3 teacher, but I still consider myself a student, which I think makes me a better teacher.
I enjoy teaching all levels of students.
I’m happy to answer any questions — about the classes, what to expect, or whether yoga is right for you right now.
